So I had a little chat with one of the Keepers... the Entropi in our midst are the Keepers by the way, so keep that in mind if you're thinking about attacking them. ...Not saying you should or shouldn't, that's up to you, but in case it makes a difference....

Anyway, it was difficult to get anything that made sense out of the thing, but the gist of what I understood was this: the Keepers were fighting the other Entropi up above us, and got their butts whooped. There's something wrong with them now, they're sick or injured or something. I presume there are still some Keepers up there fighting, seeing as how the enemy haven't swept down and destroyed us all yet. But I expect that could happen at any time.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this... whatever it is that's happened to us? ...Warden?! ...It seems to me that the people with the power to fight the Entropi had better have their power back before the battle gets here.

I mean... I was experimenting a little, trying a few different things, and... they didn't hear me, I was eavesdropping so I know they didn't, but I heard them thinking about something and I sorta... accidentally... changed their mind. ...Like, low-grade mind-control or something.

...I would assume they do communicate that way, yeah, but... it wasn't exactly a conversation. I was just sort of... eavesdropping. And honestly? What little I could pick up were vague impressions. Thoughts sound different from words, and... they think so alien... there was so much static....

Personally my thoughts tend to ramble as words but maybe that's just me. You know, so I can understand myself, even if they become so jumbled up they all skew together and anyone else inside there would get lost in a heartbeat.

But an alien tongue would sound pretty "non-wordy"--for lack of a better description. [slight pause] Interesting though. You eavesdropped on their conversation? Have you tried actively communicating with them? Do you think it would be worth the effort or...?

Well, it might have been conversing... but I think I was just listening to it thinking to itself. It was... kind of hard to tell. And, uh, I'm still working on that sending instead of receiving thing. If I figure out how to talk to humans and humanoids, maybe I'll try again with the Entropi. I think that would definitely be worth the effort.

Not saying I'm particularly fond of the bastards, but they do seem to be the only thing standing between us and imminent death right now. ...Of course, it's their fault we're facing imminent death in the first place, but.
